Not so local Re your article about Democrats hiring locally (Capital Beat column, Sunday Monitor Viewpoints page, Oct. 22): I have to call you out on the numbers. Sen. Barack Obama may have "upwards of 90" staffers with New Hampshire addresses, but most of them were shipped in and happen to live here for the time being. Five bucks says you can't find three who were hired locally. I know, because I used to volunteer for Obama, until I tired of the endless stories of staffers not being able to drive from the Seacoast to Concord without getting lost. This should change, as there are many New Hampshire residents who would love to take an active role in a presidential campaign. I can't imagine voting for anyone who sets up an office in New Hampshire and doesn't hire New Hampshire residents to staff that office.
